We have just affiliated with a service that allows users to earn money while looking at ads. This service also allows our friends to donate the money they earn directly to us at Family to Family to support our programs and services.
The concept is simple! Advertisers will pay to get information about you so that they can direct their ads to people who are more likely to be interested in them. With this feature, you tell them about yourself and what you are interested in, so that advertisers who are interested in people like you can send you their ads. The big difference here is that instead of paying people who have collected information about you, the advertisers will pay you!
Another nice element of this feature is that you have the option of donating some or all of the money they will pay you to Family to Family to support our programs and services.
The process is easy, just click on the button in the box above to “Sign Up”. When you get there, create a user name and password. Then you will be taken to a screen where you can enter information about yourself. Then you can begin getting ads targeted to you, and begin collecting money from the advertisers!
For a fuller description of how the whole thing works (it really is pretty easy!!), go to the YouData website and watch their video.
On this Valentine’s Day, Family to Family celebrates our 10 year anniversary. We were founded on February 14, 2001 as an international agency and did our first domestic placement in August 2001. We invite you to visit our history and statistics page and see how it all started and our successes. We have met and had the privilege of working with so many loving and supportive birthmothers and adoptive families this past 10 years. We could not have made it without you and we thank you for all of your support. Our staff is excited and anxious to see what happens next. Happy Anniversary Family to Family!!
Family to Family intends to close our office today, February 3rd, at 1 PM due to the impending weather. There is a possibility that the office will be closed tomorrow, February 4th, as well. We also apologize if you have tried to reach us or have not heard back from us as our area was part of the rolling blackouts. We will get back with you soon. Thanks and stay safe and warm.
For any families that adopt or have adopted a child after September 1, 2010, there are new post placement requirements for your family if you plan to finalize your adoption in the State of Texas. We are now required to have five face to face visits before the consent to adopt can be signed. One of these visits must be in your home and at least three of these have to have all family members present. Families that adopted before September 1, 2010, please contact your social worker to schedule these visits and discuss any questions you may have regarding the change. A new payment scale has been implemented for home study and post placement visits through our agency. Please email Jennifer at jennifer@fam2fam.org with any concerns or questions regarding the new post placement requirements.
The office will be closed starting at noon on Thursday, December 23rd and will be closed all day on Friday, December 24th. The office will also be closed on Friday, December 31st so that the staff can celebrate the holidays with their families. Thank you and Happy Holidays from all of our staff!
Today is National Adoption Day!! Congratulations to all of the adoptive families that finalized their adoptions today. The courthouses will be packed with very happy families and what better day to officially become a forever family than on National Adoption Day. The staff at Family to Family are celebrating the many placements we have done over the years and want to thank all of our adoptive families, birth families, attorneys, social workers, and everyone else that help make adoption possible.
If you are thinking about signing on as an adoptive family with our agency we have some good news. November is National Adoption Month so in honor of that if you sign on as a new adoptive family between now and November 30, 2010, you will receive a 10% discount on our agency fee. This is 10% off all three portions of the agency fee but does not include registration, ICPC, or birthmother living expenses.
To qualify for this offer we will need your home study, fee schedule, contract, letter of understanding, adoptive family worksheet, profiles and acceptance fee by November 30, 2010. All of the agency paperwork (Adoptive Family Forms) with the exception of the fee schedule can be found on our website. Have questions about this offer? Please contact Maxine Seiler at max@fam2fam.org or at 281-342-4042. We look forward to helping you complete your family through adoption.

Family to Family has ongoing fundraisers throughout the year for our organization. The Annual Calendar and The Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program are just a couple. But sometimes we have families that want to help the agency in different ways. This past weekend I attended a birthday party for one of our adopted children who turned one year old. The adoptive family had a birthday party with an Under the Sea theme. The adoptive family asked the guests to bring all of their spare change and fill fish bowls at the party. All of the money collected will be donated to Family to Family. What a cool idea! A huge thank you to this family for thinking of us. If you would like to help Family to Family with fundraising please contact our agency.
Click2Houston recently did an interview with our staff and one of our birth mothers. This is a very informative piece and illustrates the work that we do and the way that we help our client families.
